If you want to explore the superb town of Skipton and the stunning Yorkshire Dales, then Hayton Way makes the ideal base. This modern three-storey, semi-detached house offers three bedrooms, and sleeps six guests comfortably. There is a garden at the rear to relax in at the end of a busy day, and you can walk into the town centre, which is within easy walking distance and offers numerous pubs, restaurants, cafés and nightlife. Hayton Way is situated adjacent to the park, which contains the local leisure centre which has a swimming pool and other facilities. There is also an activity centre close by and the Leeds and Liverpool canal is just a 2-minute walk from the property.
Skipton is a bustling market town and a thriving shopping and business centre. It has an excellent selection of shops, a busy outdoor market four days a week, as well as many interesting pubs, restaurants, a cinema and a renowned livestock market. Skipton High Street was awarded ‘High Street of the Year’ beating London’s Kensington High Street and Portobello Road, and the castle stands proudly at one end.
Justifying its name of ‘The Gateway to the Dales’, Skipton offers easy access to the the limestone Dales of Wharfedale. To the south are the gritstone moors of the South Pennines, to the east is the West Yorkshire conurbation, served by three trains per hours on the route to Leeds, and to the west is the rural Ribble Valley.
As the gateway to the Dales, Skipton is surrounded by some of the the most beautiful countryside in the country, and walkers will not be disappointed. Shop, pub and restaurant 500 yards.

Had a great few days here, everything was close by and within walking distance. Property is very well equipped and maintained. The owner Penny was as at hand to attend to any issues and was prompt in replying to communication. The lovely welcome pack was very much appreciated. Would definitely recommend to others.

We had a really good stay at Hayton Way. The house was spotless and well equipped. We enjoyed the walk into Skipton town centre along the tow path by the canal. A nice quiet area and we had ample parking for two cars. Many thanks for the prosecco and the milk. Should we decide to stay in the area again, we would definitely return to Hayton Way as it was one of the best places we have stayed in.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our week in Hayton Way, Skipton. We found the house comfortable and spacious enough for our group. Having 3 double bedrooms, with two en-suites and a family bathroom it was ideal for us. The house is situated near a lovely park and close to the canal. It is a short walk along the tow path into the town, and also easy to reach local supermarkets and in the opposite direction a great farm shop. It was also in easy reach of Harrogate, where we visited the famous Betty’s tea room and some lovely shops. We visited Malham Cove and had another lovely walk along the river at Bolton Abbey. Such a fantastic week.
