It is, as forewarned, quite a way down a narrow road then unmade track. Meeting oncoming traffic involves a bit of reversing to a passing place.The nearest pub, the Old Hall, is closed apparently for refurbishment - although no work seems to be happening. There is another pub - the Gamekeeper at a similar distance but is a walk across fields. The garden would be lovely in good weather but would benefit from being better enclosed for dogs or young children.

This is third time we have stayed at Lane House. The added Christmas Decorations made it very welcoming. It was so mild this year we didn't light the log burner much to my husband disappointment as the house was warm enough. Good facilities and secure for the dog. Good walks from the house Recommend the Bluebell pub at Kettlewell. Excellent meal. The shop in threshfield is brilliant, very good mince pies. Look forward to staying again.
