Guests that stayed at this property said

Reviewers consistently mention the cottage's spotless condition, indicating a high standard of cleanliness that contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.

The property's idyllic setting in the Yorkshire Dales is frequently highlighted, with its proximity to a local pub and scenic walks adding to its charm. However, its remoteness and access via single track roads are noted, which may not suit everyone.

Guests frequently commend the comfortable furnishings, cosy atmosphere, and quality bedding, suggesting a very comfortable stay. One mention of an uncomfortable bed in the balcony room slightly affects the score.

The cottage is celebrated for its well-equipped kitchen, modern bathrooms, and overall high-quality facilities. Some minor maintenance issues and comments about the dishwasher's performance slightly lower the score.

The presence of a welcome basket and other attentive details are well-received, although it is politely noted that such gifts, while appreciated, are not guaranteed for every stay.

The welcome pack was much appreciated too! The owners were welcoming and helpful but unobtrusive and had thoughtfully even provided laminated maps of walking routes.

The dale is a quiet with plenty of choices of walks directly from the cottage and a great pub situated just a few yards away. The cottage is beautifully decorated, homely and comfortable - and very well equipped. We had a fantastic week and will definitely be looking to return next year.
