Norm's Nook is a well-received cottage in Skipton, praised for its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and thoughtful amenities for families with children. Its location is ideal for exploring the Yorkshire Dales, with easy access to local walks, cafes, and restaurants. Guests appreciate the welcoming touches, such as the open fire and welcome packs, contributing to a homely stay.
Guests consistently describe the cottage as clean and well-presented. One mention of a stained mattress cover suggests a minor oversight, but overall, the high standard of cleanliness is evident.
The cottage's location is highly praised for its proximity to Grassington, local amenities, and scenic walks. It is considered perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
The majority of guests find the cottage comfortable, with a cosy open fire and efficient central heating. However, a few comments about the sofas and a mattress suggest room for improvement in some areas.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-equipped kitchen and amenities for children. Some guests noted issues with parking, steep stairs, and maintenance concerns like a broken toilet and TV, which slightly affect the score.
Guests frequently mention the thoughtful touches, such as welcome packs and baby-friendly equipment. While these are appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We loved Grassington! The cottage was tucked away at the top end of the village, so pretty quiet, we were able to park just across from the cottage, but spaces were limited and the road is very narrow, so you'll need to tuck in! We walked (mostly) from the house, so didn't move the car too much. The cottage was OK, we had 5 people there over the first weekend and found that cooking and dining was a challenge with the kitchen layout/facilities, with just the two of us later in the week, better. The sink is tiny, there is no dishwasher, so again with 5 people (and even two), cleaning dishes was a nightmare! A washing machine is in place in the kitchen, this might have served better as a space for the dishwasher, but hey ho.. We also found the open fire was more scenic than useful for heating the room. The cottage overall was nicely done and the central heating kept us warm enough and cosy in the evenings, we stopped using the fire after a couple of evenings.

Absolutely loved this house. Renovated to a high quality and beautiful decor, full of character. Clean and comfy, was home from home. Would highly recommend this house. The photos do not do it justice. If I have to be picky (and I rarely give full starts for any property) there was no cafetiere (as I do enjoy a filter coffee) and the mattress upstairs has seen better days. This should be changed. Apart from that, all other beds very clean and comfy and every thing we needed was there. I think I should add the lovely relaxing atmosphere within the house, and the nights are so quiet. Thank you.
