Skylark is one of two brand new, spacious pods at Long View Luxury Glamping, surrounded by beautiful countryside near Settle and the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Designed for couples and small families, it combines the freedom of glamping with the comforts of a high end retreat.
The bright open plan kitchen, dining and living area invites you to slow down from the moment you arrive. Prepare breakfast in the contemporary kitchen, complete with an electric oven and hob, integrated fridge with freezer compartment, dishwasher and coffee machine, then gather around the dining table to decide where the day might take you.
When you return, sink into the comfortable sofa and enjoy a favourite film on the Smart TV, with Starlink WiFi keeping you connected. The sofa also converts into a bed for up to two children.
A peaceful separate bedroom awaits at the end of the day, with a comfortable double bed, dresser, integrated clothes rail and velux window with blackout blind. The stylish en suite bathroom adds a touch of indulgence with a heated towel rail and luxurious shower featuring rainfall and handheld heads.
Morning coffee tastes even better from an armchair on the front decking. Breathe in the fresh country air, admire the far reaching views and watch birds sweep across the surrounding fields as their song carries through the landscape.
The patio is made for memorable evenings, with an outdoor dining table, Weber charcoal barbecue, fire pit and private hot tub. A canopy above the hot tub provides welcome shelter from the elements, allowing you to enjoy a luxurious soak throughout the year. As darkness falls, light the fire pit, look up at the stars and savour the peace of the countryside. Private parking and an EV charging point are also available.
The Plough Inn is less than a mile away, while nearby Settle offers independent shops, inviting cafés, traditional pubs and restaurants. Long Preston railway station provides convenient connections, while the celebrated Settle to Carlisle Railway carries passengers through magnificent Dales scenery towards Ribblehead Viaduct.
Discover the limestone cliffs of Malham Cove, the woodland beauty of Janet’s Foss and the dramatic landscape of Gordale Scar, or follow the spectacular Ingleton Waterfalls Trail. Experienced walkers can challenge themselves on the Yorkshire Three Peaks, while Gisburn Forest offers scenic walking and mountain biking trails. The Forest of Bowland National Landscape is also within easy reach. Explore Grassington’s cobbled streets or discover Bolton Abbey’s historic priory ruins and riverside walks.

We can not recommend Long View Luxury Glamping enough! Feel so lucky to have stumbled across this gem of a place and been one of the first few people to stay. We had an absolutely beautiful 2 night stay, the pod was spotless, warm and cosy. The kitchen was equipped with everything you needed and the added extra of cards and jenga was a lovely touch! The hot tub was a fabulous bonus and the view from there and the decking was gorgeous! The site is perfectly situated for lots of places the Yorkshire Dale has to offer, we wish we had booked for longer! We would recommend this place to anyone, and we will definitely be back in the future to visit the places we didnt get chance too (thats if there is space to book as I have a feeling this beautiful place will be very popular!) The owner was also great, we received a welcome text and videos with all the information we needed for our arrival which was very helpful!

Wow, what a find. We were looking for a cottage with a view and we certainly found it. Rolling hills, green grass, cows, sheep, trains and five full rainbows! The Skylark pod was very comfortable and also has a wonderful view sitting on the sofa inside. The shower was hot and powerful and the bed cosy snd comfortable. The chairs outside were comfortable to enable you to enjoy the view and the hot tub was a perfect addition. There is a 2 minute walk downhill to the pod from leaving your car in the parking bay. The pod is on a working farm that you drive through and the farmer Ady is very friendly. You will see him round up his sheep with his dog. There is a very pleasant pub, The Plough, which is a 5 minute walk. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to staying again.
