The Lodge is a three bedroom property set in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park in Hartlington near Grassington. Boasting access to an acre of garden and woodland in the grounds of Hartlington Hall, The Lodge welcomes six guests to bask in the ultimate getaway.

One of the most lovely towns in the Yorkshire Dales National Park is Grassington. For a hamlet of this size, the traditional stone houses and stores that surround the market square provide outstanding shopping options. A monthly farmer's market also offers a delectable selection of homemade and organic local produce. This is an excellent walking place because it is near the River Wharfe and has vast Grass Woods to the north of the settlement. Bolton Abbey, home to the Priory, the Abbey Ruins, and the renowned "Strid Walk," is located down dale. A short distance away is the posh town of Ilkley, which is guarded by the well-known Ilkley Moor. Kettlewell and Buckden, located up dale, are renowned for their breathtaking limestone scenery. With numerous other scenic locations dotted across Wharfedale, Grassington is a perfect starting point for exploring the neighbourhood and all that the Dales have to offer. York and the Bront Country are also easily accessible by car.

The house is everything and more than you could wish for. Penny and John go out of their way to make sure you are welcomed from the minute you walk in. All of the little extras were a lovely surprise. The Lodge is definitely up there amongst the best places we have ever stayed. We had two days just staying in because we were so comfortable. The weather was perfect which was an added bonus. Thank you Penny and John.

Penny and John had thought of every little thing,not only was the accommodation super comfortable, and the views from the Lodge were wonderful, it was quite and calm just perfect for a week's break. The additional touches in the kitchen, like teas, coffees, chocolate, milk, biscuits, cooking spices and not forgetting the wine! Location of the Lodge is an ideal place to explore the Dales. We would love to come back again one of the nicest places we have visited.

The cottage was perfect in every way - charming, very comfortable, quiet, had everything we needed, and the hosts were so welcoming, providing things like milk, eggs, fruit etc. Fabulously located about a 10min walk to the sweet village of Burnsall and its lovely riverside pub, and then a beautiful walk along the river to the villages of Hebden and Grassington. There are also lots of other walking options nearby. We couldnât have chosen better and hope to return soon.
