Guests say

Cornfield Lodge receives high praise for its beautiful location, cleanliness, and the owner's hospitality. Guests enjoyed the peaceful setting, the friendly meet and greet dog, and the thoughtful welcome hamper. The hot tub and games room are frequently mentioned as highlights, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay. While there are minor maintenance issues, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

The lodge is consistently described as clean and well-maintained, with several reviews highlighting its spotless condition. One review mentioned a gritty hot tub, but this seems to be an isolated incident.

The location is praised for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions and the town centre. The peaceful farm setting and scenic views contribute to the high rating, although one review mentioned an odour from the chicken houses.

Guests find the lodge comfortable and well-equipped, with a warm welcome and cosy atmosphere. The beds are mostly appreciated, though one review noted a preference for a firmer mattress.

Facilities like the hot tub and games room are well-received, enhancing the stay for many guests. However, some reviews noted maintenance issues such as a non-functioning shower and decking in need of repair, which slightly lowers the score.

The owner's thoughtfulness is evident in the welcome hamper and personal recommendations for local visits. While gifts are warmly mentioned, it's important to note that such gestures, though delightful, are not guaranteed for every stay.

Top class property comfy furniture and fully stocked. The view is brilliant and area tranquil. Hot tub is a bonus. Owner very pleasant to deal with and very helpful. Location is excellent only a few minutes from town. Would recommend.

It was spotlessly clean and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. The welcome pack was filled with goodies and was a lovely touch. Cliff is a fabulous host, friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. He checks that everything is OK and has lots of suggestions of where to visit/eat etc. We really enjoyed our chats. It's a beautiful, peaceful location with plenty to do within easy reach. Northallerton has everything you could possibly need and is a gentle stoll if you don't fancy driving. Our grandson loved the games room and hottub (we all looked forward to our evening relax in the hottub) and is already planning the next visit.
