We had a wonderful time celebrating Christmas at Murton House. The house is in a beautiful location in the village of Osmotherley. There were six adults, two teenagers and a dog and we all loved it. There was plenty of space within the house for us to move around. We quite liked the different floor levels - it was fun. (The utility space before the downstairs bedroom was perfect for the dog too.) In terms of the experience, I couldn’t have wished for better. The kitchen / dining area was amazing (no cheese grater though!). Perfect for family dining and for cooking Christmas dinner. The bi-folding doors and enclosed garden were a winner too. The bedrooms were comfortable and a decent size. The house was always lovely and warm. But there are a few tweaks that I would make if I could: - fix the wine cooler (this would have been game changing for us!) - it seems like just a change of fuse would do the trick. - more seating in the lounge (there are four double bedrooms but seating for only five people) - there is only room for one car to park at the property (the neighbours don’t seem to like visitors so they park in the middle of the space available!) - some simple things that make all the difference - there was no dishcloth, not enough toilet roll and no kitchen roll. With it being Christmas, the shop was closed down so this wasn’t ideal. We managed, but you would expect not to have to worry about these basics in luxury accommodation. Overall, we had an incredible time. Thank you!
