A charming, single level, detached cottage nestled on the edge of a leading fishing complex in the sleepy little rural village of Sessay, 6 miles from Thirsk, this property sits in a perfect touring location for discovering North Yorkshire. With the gateway to the North York Moors National Park to the east and Yorkshire Dales National Park to the west, there are plenty of things to see and do within easy reach. Nearby Thirsk (6 miles) boasts a quaint marketplace, splendid Georgian buildings, a Norman church and excellent pubs, shops, restaurants, a cinema and a leisure centre. The cathedral city of York (21 miles) is within easy driving distance, making Sessay a lovely little rural escape to return to after a busy day of exploring. A lovely drive up Sutton Bank takes you to Rievaulx Abbey (15 miles) or continue on to the pretty town of Helmsley (16 miles), whilst a little further will bring you to the dramatic Yorkshire coastline. Upon arrival, you will find off road parking and a generous rear patio garden and a well kept front garden. Unload your car and head inside from the rear into a handy vestibule where you can leave muddy boots and coats, great for when you return from a walk.
