While some concerns about maintenance and cleanliness were noted, the overall experience has been positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
Most guests found the cottage to be clean and tidy, with comfortable beds and a welcoming atmosphere. However, a few reviews mentioned issues with cleanliness, such as a dusty shower head and unclean kitchen bins, which suggests room for improvement in this area.
The location is highly praised for its peacefulness, proximity to Thirsk town centre, and ease of access to local shops and the North York Moors. The presence of a nearby pub and the scenic surroundings contribute to the positive feedback.
Guests have consistently mentioned the comfort of the beds and the cosy nature of the cottage. The warm and snug living area was also appreciated, although some guests noted the steep stairs and potential issues for those with mobility concerns.
The cottage is generally well-equipped with modern conveniences and a well-planted garden. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as dampness, a leaking tap, and the need for updates, which affects the overall score in this category.
Many guests were delighted by the thoughtful welcome packs provided upon arrival, which included local produce and other complimentary items. While these gestures were highly appreciated, it is important to note that such amenities are subject to change and may not be guaranteed for every stay.

Cosy, clean and everything you could need is there. The welcome pack was a lovely touch and the additional details all really helpful. The comfiest bed ever! As 2 persons and a dog we did not utilise the other bedroom but the property would easily be spacious enough for 4 persons. Looking forward to returning
