Claro Cottage is a gorgeous stone-built property set within the heart of the historic town of Pateley Bridge, tucked away nicely just off the High Street in a delightful little courtyard.
Set over two floors you enter the property on the ground floor into the open plan living area, which is a comfortable, cosy area to relax in after a day exploring this stunning area. With exposed wooden beams and stone throughout the ground floor you instantly have that cottage feel. The kitchen/dining area is well presented and well equipped for all your culinary needs along with a dining table which seats four people should you not wish to dine out in the many eateries close by. On the first floor there are two good sized bedrooms both with plush double beds guaranteeing a great night’s sleep ensuring you are ready for the next days adventure. On the same floor there is a lovely family bathroom which presents a shower over the bath.
Claro Cottage offers families, couples and friends a perfect holiday retreat whilst being ideally located to explore all that the Nidderdale aonb and the Yorkshire Dales has to offer. With the cottage situated just 250 yards from the High Street, the local pubs and restaurants are within easy reach. Explore the vast countryside of the Yorkshire Dales and Nidderdale aonb, which are both packed with rolling hills stretching as far as the eye can see. The area is full of bike trails and fantastic scenic walks, you will never struggle to find something to keep yourselves entertained. Alternatively, the beautiful cathedral city of Ripon is only 11 miles away along with the stylish spa town of Harrogate 30 minutes by car.
Nearby National Trust attractions include the magnificent Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal near Ripon and Brimham Rocks in Summerbridge which are all a must. If you did want to leave the driving for another day, there are great walks available on your doorstep with the River Nidd running straight through Pateley Bridge.

The cottage is in a lovely location for local amenities, walks and cafes however there was a lot of road traffic noise and slamming of doors!The cottage was dirty on arrival, the sofas, carpets and rugs were dirty and there was a spillage of conditioner down the side of the bath, we had to clean up before we could settle in! There was also a constant annoying drip, which we noted had been reported several times in the visitors book, going back to April this year.The bed was comfy! Thee plug sockets in the main bedroom don't work next to the mirror making it difficult to get ready when drying or straightening your hair.

First impressions fine when we entered cottage until we had a good look There had obviously been some work going on in kitchen above cookerhood/microwave as dust all over so had to wipe benches down and cooked hood thick of dust ( looked like someone had been sanding ) The fridge wasn’t turned on & awful smell inside , it was swimming with water so had to get water out and clean inside Went upstairs & lots of bits on landing carpet & bathroom floor so hoovered it away , hoover was stinking & full so emptied it outI bought wipes from a shop and wiped bathroom floor as really grubby , can’t believe the dirt that came up , I took a pic for reference Very annoying dripping type noise in kitchen area too which a lot of people have mentioned We have stayed in many properties & never had to do this , not what we were wanting to do at start of our weekend away Based on this we wouldn’t return but in great location & cottage warm with comfy beds

there is a dripping sound in the kitchen which you can hear in all bedrooms at night. I wouldn't stay here again for this reason. it's pretty annoying. looking at the guest book people have been complaining about it since June. so I wouldn't expect it to be fixed any time soon. otherwise the cottage is ok
