Guests say

Heather Lea is a well-received cottage in Harrogate, praised for its spaciousness, stunning views, and suitability for family gatherings. The large kitchen, comfortable seating, and multiple bathrooms are particularly appreciated. The property offers a peaceful atmosphere and is well-equipped for a comfortable stay.

Most reviews do not mention cleanliness issues, suggesting satisfaction. However, one review notes black mould around shower silicone and untended outdoor areas, indicating room for improvement.

The location is highly praised for its beautiful rural setting, stunning views, and proximity to countryside walks and local attractions, making it an ideal spot for visitors.

Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with plenty of seating and cosy yet spacious rooms. The beds are described as comfy, contributing to a restful experience.

The property is well-equipped with a large kitchen, smart TV, and good internet. Multiple bathrooms with good showers are a plus, though one mention of a maintenance issue slightly lowers the score.

While guests express gratitude towards the host, Helen, for her responsiveness and accommodation of special requests, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches that would warrant a score in this category.

Fantastic cottage for larger family or family get together. Perfect kitchen with large table and seating for cooking and socialising. Good location for seeing all the sites. Couldn't fault it. Had the perfect 7 days spending time with our adult son and daughter. Worth the 7 hours drive from the Highlands in Scotland.

We have just enjoyed a lovely weekend at Heather Lea. Beautiful rural setting. Stunning views, lovely gardens with access to countryside walks. House has large kitchen diner with big dining room table ideal for large family gatherings, kitchen well equipped, electric aga, plenty of crockery. Nice big living room with plenty of comfortable seating. Internet great and smart TV. House is 4 bedroom, ground floor bedroom is spacious, great storage, large en-suite all well appointed. Twin downstairs with bathroom opposite. Another downstairs bathroom gives plenty of facilities. Upstairs two further bedrooms, 1 double good size with chest of drawers, twin again good size. Shared wardrobe on landing. These two upstairs rooms share downstairs bathroom facilities. Our host Helen was in touch before and during our stay to answer questions and was very accommodating with special requests.

Well what can I say.......Beautiful cottage with everything you could need, incredible views, great location, 3 good sized bathrooms all with good showers (now going to have to fit a rainfall shower in my house as was lush 😍) had a small issue and as soon as I made the owner aware it was sorted. I would 100% recommend and will likely be booking again at some point. Thank you 😊
