About this property

Resting in the heart of the charming town of Harrogate in North Yorkshire is No. 21. This Edwardian, dog-friendly holiday home benefits from a fantastic location close to the town’s local amenities and the breath-taking Yorkshire Dales National Park, a quaint garden and three beautifully-presented bedrooms, perfect for families or friends looking to explore the wonders of Yorkshire. Cross the threshold and make your way straight to the fully-equipped kitchen, fitted with a handy Rangemaster, where you can whip up well-earned, tasty meals for the whole group. Dine together as a family around the dining table and reminisce on the memories created so far before stepping outside to catch the last of the sun with a glass of wine in hand from the comfort of the garden furnished with wooden benches, rugs, and cushions. When the stars fill the sky, head inside and up the stairs to put the kids to bed in the fun, second-floor twin room before indulging in a soothing soak in the bathroom which is fitted with a freestanding bath and rainfall shower. After snuggling up with your loved one in front of the woodburning stove, head upstairs to choose between a super-king-size and king-size to catch your rest. If you can tear yourself away from your new home-away-from-home, find local amenities including convenience stores and pubs such as The Empress and Christies where you can enjoy a much-needed break from the kitchen. The town also boasts the Mercer Art Gallery, Betty’s Tea Room where you can delight in a traditional afternoon tea, the 14th-century Knaresborough Castle and Courthouse Museum and St Robert’s Cave, a former pilgrimage site. Find the nearby Yorkshire Dales National Park where outdoor enthusiasts can lose themselves in the myriad of walks and trails woven throughout the breath-taking scenery, there are also historic sites dotted throughout including, Washburn Dam, The Navvies Museum and the truly spectacular ruins of the riverside Fountains Abbey which dates back to the 18th century and has a wealth of secrets to unearth. Discover all this and more at No. 21

Harrogate is an attractive spa town that is well-known for its spacious parks, beautiful gardens, historic buildings, and wide, tree-lined boulevards. This town, which was once a popular spa destination in Europe, is today known for its high-quality restaurants, unique shops, and prestigious convention centre. Nidderdale and the Yorkshire Dales to the west, and the North York Moors to the east, make up some of the most breath-taking scenery in all of England, all within easy driving distance of Harrogate. Historic buildings including Norton Conyers and Newby Hall & Gardens, as well as the National Trust's Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden, may also be found in the vicinity. Many tourists, though, would be content to spend a day in the town itself, strolling through Valley Gardens and then having afternoon tea at Bettys, the town's renowned tea shops.

The house is extremely spacious and is one of the most well appointed properties we have stayed in. The log burner makes for cosy nights, and the kitchen has amazing facilities to cook in. The garden is nice and secure for any children or dogs, and has the bonus of outdoor cooking facilities with ample seating. The house is ideally located for a short stroll to beautiful independent shops, the theatre or the Conference Centre, as well as being in close proximity to beautiful countryside. We will be looking to stay again in the future.
