Visit nearby Leyburn a market town in Wensleydale where you will find a good selection of services and shops, including a supermarket, bank, independent food shops, tea rooms, pubs, gift shops and much more.Just a short walk from the centre is the station providing tourist rides further into Wensleydale. Other nearby towns of interest include Richmond, Ripon, Thirsk, Masham and Hawes. Discover the glorious beauty spots of Aysgarth Falls, Cauldron Falls and Aysgill Force, all just an easy drive away, perfect for incorporating into your walks. The historic ruins of Bolton Castle and Middleham Castle are both well worth visiting for any history enthusiasts, while the Palladian villa of Constable Burton Hall & Gardens is another scenic attractions with plenty of grounds to explore. A great array of peaks and fells lie in the area, with Great Whernside being a fantastic intermediate hike, along with the likes of Little Whernside, Birks Fell, Great Shunner Fell and closer to home, Penhill Beacon.
