The cottage was faultless - clean tidy and everything you could ask for. The small village was lovely and the nearest pub to us cooked great meals with a very good menu. The Yorkshire Dales was a brilliant place for walking and sightseeing with so many waterfalls and castles and a couple of great caves.

What a lovely cozy cottage it was. We stayed 5 days and loved every bit of it. Amazingly comfortable sofas, cozy sitting room. Very comfortable beds and pillows we slept like angles. Of course on Monday morning the bin man will wake you up. Right in the middle of the quaint village of Askrigg, walking distance to the local grocery, coffee shop, church and the two lovely restaurants/pubs Middle house and Kings Arms. If you wanted something more casual the Crown Inn is right across the road serving traditional pub classics. Some lovely walking and hiking trails right from the property.
