This is a really lovely cottage, thoughtfully configured and tastefully furnished. Certainly a property I would be more than happy to revisit. And what an absolute joy to have the opportunity to take in a new and quite spectacular view of what was always my husband's and my favourite Dale. The purpose of this visit was to bring his ashes to rest in our spiritual home, at the top of the Dale, near Keld, at a much loved viewing point looking out towards Muker. How wonderful it was, walking through the hay meadows again and taking in the preciousness this special place. To anyone visiting Swaledale for the first time, you have a head start staying at Throstle Nest House. Explore this heavenly place...you will not be disappointed!

Throstle Nest House is a lovely cosy-warm cottage, tucked a mile down a narrow but quiet single track road in Swaledale with fantastic views down Swaledale towards Low Row. The cottage is spacious and very well equipped. The underfloor hunting is lovely underfoot in a morning. Beds are warm and comfortable with excellent chunky pillows. Lovely relaxing place to be.
