Nestled on the fringes of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it is perfectly placed for those who enjoy walking, cycling and other outdoor activities. Venture 3 miles to explore the site of former Roman camps at Cawthorne or 5.5 miles to wander through Cropton Forest. Head into Pickering to stock up on local produce, dine out in a friendly Yorkshire pub or take a nostalgic steam train journey along the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Plan a trip to the coast at historic Whitby, 19 miles away, or charming Robin Hood’s Bay, 23 miles away. Vibrant Scarborough is 22.5 miles from the house.
Make your way inside to discover spacious accommodation that marries original Victorian charm with contemporary style and comfort. Return from shopping trips to start cooking up a feast together in the large open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. Whip up tasty dishes in the well-equipped kitchen space and chat to your nearest and dearest as they relax at the breakfast bar or table, or on the soft seating with a cuppa. Congregate in here for celebratory meals before spreading out into the capacious lounge to play a game or watch the Smart TV with the wood burner roaring. Also downstairs are a handy workspace, a family bathroom and an inviting twin bedroom. Your remaining bedrooms and bathrooms are spread across the top two storeys of the house. On the first floor, there is a double bedroom, a king-size bedroom with a smart TV, and an excellent family room with a double bed and a twin set. There is also a chic bathroom, where you have the choice of a bath or a shower. Two more family rooms, each with a double bed and a single, are on the floor above, together with a shower room. Guests have access to a shared laundry within the grounds.
Carry breakfast, lunch or dinner out into your private garden area on fine days. You also have lots of shared outside space to enjoy when the weather is warm, including beautiful gardens, where you can bask in the sunshine and soak up the serenity or gaze out over the pond. Take the children to play in the games area, have a swim in the pool or pamper yourself in the hot tub or sauna. There is private parking for five cars, with additional on-street parking, subject to availability.
