Excellent house in fantastic location for touring about. The house was spacious and well equipped and the welcome pack was exceptional! There is a farm shop nearby with an honesty box for fresh eggs and while we were there the chippie van came up the street! lol I would recommend this property to everyone!!

Gorgeous cottage. The friendly host Fiona left firewood and delicious home-made scones, cream and jam with tea/milk, etc. - all appreciated. Kitchen had everything we needed (other than scissors. One extra bin bag and some multipurpose cleaner would also be good additions). The cottage was mostly really clean with only minor missed bits - crumbs in the cutlery drawer, the odd dirty glass or fork and I didn’t use the washing machine as it had hair in the door. Bathrooms and bedrooms immaculate though and had comfy beds, lots of super soft towels and lovely bedding. The stunning bedrooms have great views and the little village is peaceful (one firework display was manageable - avoiding them was our reason for seeking peace for a week). The plumbing does make a noise constantly which is a tad annoying especially through the night. But overall a great cottage in a fab location for Pickering, Thornton and the coast.

Lovely cottage with gorgeous views and sunsets. The home is quirky and unspoiled - everything works well (shower, dishwasher, washing machine etc) but it has a really relaxed charm about it. Quiet little village in very easy distance of Thornton Le Dale and only 30 mins to Scarborough. Two adults, two young children, we loved it and hope to come again
