Welcome to our unique hidden gem of a meadow situated away from any roads, which as a family we have had many happy bbq's and camp nights out, we thought it was too good not to share with you.

It’s peaceful, apart from the amazing birdsong and whistling of the steam trains, plenty of wildlife, Rabbits, Pheasants and their chicks, Squirrels, Hedgehogs, Owls, Heron, Butterflies. Our meadow allows you lots of space, with only 3 glamping units on a whole 2 acres, no regimented rows, or being hemmed in by own visitors, lots of personal space, beautiful night skies, hooting Owls.

Traditional, quirky style Shepherds Hut, off grid, available to book for 1 night stays, Sun - Thurs.

Weekends, min two nights stay, (Fri & Sat)nights.

Please bring own bedding, duvet, pillows, towels. We provide, sheet, mattress topper and throws.

Vintage touches, built with salvaged materials, a modern life detox, fixed double bed, pull out dining table, battery lantern light, fairy lights, Victorian floor boards, stable door, separate canvas gazebo inc at no extra cost, camp gas stove, cutlery, crockery, glasses, pots, pans, kettle, cool box, water container, garden table and chairs, (use of fire pit, bring own wood)

Use of 2 LPG quirky tin shower huts built from salvaged materials, own eco compost loo close by, in vintage 1950s Scottish lambing tin hut.

The Shepherds hut overlooks the Pickering steam railway station and Pickering Beck, you can see the steam trains from Hut. If you love vintage and quirky glamping and a unique location, you will love Tin and Canvas.

Sleeps 2 adults, and 1 child free up to the age of 12, (air bed under double bed/bring child's own bedding) we do not charge extra during school holidays.

Up to 1 well behaved dog on a lead allowed not included in the cost on here.

If you prefer modern showers and toilets, we may not be for you as we are eco friendly and use compost loos and LPG showers, in Vintage quirky tin huts.

We are right next to Pickering Beck, we are signed up to the Environment flood alert system, in the very rare event of flooding, during your stay, any lost nights due to flooding will be re-scheduled.

Unique 2 acre country meadow, situated down an historic carriage way, off any roads. surrounded by mature trees, overlooking the North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railways Station in Pickering, and Pickering Beck. Watch and hear the whistling of the steam trains pulling in and out of the station, book a train to Whitby or one of the many other stops, unique scenery.

Best of both worlds a country setting with lots of wild life, Owls, Squirrels, Pheasants, Rabbits, Hedgehogs, lots of birdsong and walks out of our gates, but only a few minutes walk from Pickering High St, with small cafes, bars, shops etc, a unique location of Town & Country!, No need to use the car or worry about parking, parking area on the meadow, only 3 glamping units offered on 2 acres, so lots of space, mown weekly and an uncut meadow area to attract the bees, butterflies, birds and wild life, cut pathway around the meadow.

Pickering is a small stone traditional market town which is the gateway to the North Yorkshire Moors and Coast, made famous by the tv series about the nymr, so many places to visit, Whitby, Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes, Beck Hole, Filey, the famous Goathland, the moors, Flamingo Land, Dalby Forest, lots of beautiful walks, Explore Pickering Castle , the North Yorkshire Moors Railway is right next door where the tv series was filmed, also the tv series Bangers & Cash, is only 2 miles away at Thornton le Dale. Close by is the Beck Isle Farming Museum and the Ryedale Folk Museum at Hutton le Hole. Heartbeat was filmed at Goathland only 20 mins drive away, recently filming in the area has included Tom Cruise and Harrison Ford in their latest movies. Outdoor swimming pool at beautiful Helmsley. Lots of small market towns to explore and beautiful villages. Historical building's near by, Pickering Castle, Helmsley Castle, Scarborough Castle, Rievaulx Abbey, Castle Howard, Duncombe Park.
