Guests say

Guests appreciate the peaceful, central location of The Farmhouse - Low Farm, with its lovely views and wildlife. The property offers a comfortable stay with cosy beds and a large kitchen diner. However, some guests noted issues with maintenance, such as boiler problems affecting hot water supply and overgrown gardens. The cleanliness received mixed feedback, with some concerns over waste disposal and kitchen cleanliness.

Mixed reviews on cleanliness; some guests found the property cosy and comfortable, while others noted unemptied bins and an oven that needed cleaning. No widespread complaints suggest a generally acceptable level of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for its tranquillity and scenic views, ideal for exploring the area and enjoying wildlife. Some difficulty in finding the property was mentioned, but overall, the location is considered excellent.

Guests found the beds comfortable and the property spacious. However, some discomfort was caused by a heavy duvet and issues with the central heating, which affected the overall comfort experience.

Facilities are adequate with a bonus laundry room, but several guests reported boiler issues and a lack of instructions for appliances. The kitchen could benefit from more pans, and the fridge malfunctioned for one guest.

There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the property owners. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Very comfortable beds and bedding. But the property requires some maintenance. It is looking very tired. The gardens are very overgrown and no working WI-FI although it was advertised as having it.

It is in an excellent position, the bed was comfortable and the house warm and pleasant. However, generally speaking the place is a bit tired, particularly the bathroom and kitchen white goods (the fridge decided to freeze everything on our second night) and could do with some updating. On arrival the central heating did not work and neither did the WiFi. We contacted Shane and the next day both problems were sorted out by himself and BT. The central light in the bathroom did not work but that was not a problem as the mirror light was sufficient.

Slightly hard to find, Google Maps using the postcode take you to a different nearby farm (although there were pretty good directions to the cottage in the welcome email which I hadn’t read); coordinates are (54.3336507, -0.8400776) or what3words ///acids.movie.maps if that helps any future visitors using a sat-nav to direct them. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, wish it had been longer because nobody wanted to leave.
