At the front of the cottage, you’ll find your own private parking bay, along with a small, enclosed garden, ideal for sitting out on a beautiful evening. The Granary is designed all on the ground floor, with a single step up leading you into the open-plan living area, where a comfortable sofa is arranged in front of the TV, and a fabulous kitchen where you can have atmospheric romantic meals. The bedroom is spacious and inviting, offering a large double bed for a restful night’s sleep. A high spec bathroom with large shower cubicle finishes off this beautifully furnished and inviting cottage.

Lovely cottage, slept well .1st cottage we’ve been to that we had everything we needed.Just a couple of points, mirror unit in bedroom very dusty. Toilet system smelt after use.

A generally well-appointed cottage in a quiet and peaceful location. Ample parking space. Cottage is tastefully decorated and makes a thoughtful use of the available space. Good quality appliances and enough kitchen equipment for basic needs. Excellent shower. The provision of a 'welcome pack' of a pint of milk, teabags and a packet of biscuits was appreciated. The cottage is conveniently located for the Middleton Arms pub, which is a few minutes walk down the lane. Pickering is also within walking distance. HOWEVER - the cottage is let down by details. Housekeeping could be better and we found some of the kitchen equipment was dirty and needed to be washed before we could use it. It looked like the cleaning had been rushed and there was still quite a lot of dust and dirt, especially in the corners and around furniture. We found plant debris in the pile of the rug in the living area. The windows were filthy. Also, although a dishwasher is provided, we couldn't find any dishwasher tablets, and there were no additional liners for the kitchen bin (which is right beside the dining table), meaning there were no possibility of changing it during the week. It's a shame, because it detracted from an otherwise enjoyable stay.
