So why the low marks. First, we had no sleep the first night because there was a constant drumming sound from the fridge which was amplified because it was up against the thin dividing wall between the appliance and the bedroom. We solved it by moving the fridge a few millimetres off the wall and sleeping at the foot of the bed for the week. The flat, though nice, is short of basics. There is no where to hang clothes so we lived out of our cases for the week, like we would have done while camping. There is no toilet roll holder in the shower room so they have to be put on top of the radiator. There is no towel rail or hooks, either, so we had to pass towels to each other from the bedroom when we washed or showered. There is a small clothes rack but no hangers for it - we spent two hours looking for coat-hangers to buy without success. There is no information pack or list and so no contact number - Scarborough Stay don't give one, even in their emails. We tried to ring you several times but gave up because the waiting time was so long.It meant we had no password for the wifi so no internet and we had to ask in shops where the various attractions were. We managed to get a taxi firm's number from a shop assistant and took a cab to Peasholm Park because we didn't know where it was - the Tourist Information Point did not even have a brochure for it. The weather was brilliant so we made the most of it but will never again book if a sub-letting is involved. Your staff were pleasant and helpful but overall, the booking was a minor disaster, sorry to say.
