There is a bus stop nearby for the Transdev Coastliner route to Whitby.

The Coastliner also runs to Yorkshire's Food Capital Malton, then on to York.

The open theatre which hosts musical events is within walking distance.

The property is perfect for families,sports guests,nature and animal lovers,birdwatchers and history buffs.

Sealife is less than a mile away with a seal sanctuary, otters and penguins etc.

Flamingoland is also within easy reach.

Bempton Cliffs is an rspb nature reserve with viewing platforms to watch the Puffins, Gannets and Guillemots (seasonal).

The Sports Village is only a 10 minute drive with football pitch, gym, virtual cycling and sports hall for table tennis,badminton and netball.

Surf and Kayaking lessons are also available locally
The sustrans national cycling route runs through Scarborough and even to Rievaulx Abbey with the Cleveland Way popular for walkers.

Scarborough Castle is nearby and Flamborough has the oldest operational lighthouse in the UK.

The stately home Castle Howard where Brideshead Revisited was filmed, is only 31 miles away.

    Only a few minutes walk to the beach and to Peasolm Park, Tesco literally only a 5 minutes walk. The beds were comfortable, the showers were excellent and the garden was perfect for the dog. A tumble dryer would be very useful but guests are aware there isn't one on booking. It was our second visit and would love to book again.

    It had everything we needed. It was in a perfect location with Alphamere water park opposite, a nice pub over the road and within close distance to Peasholme park. Could not fault it. It was spotlessly clean and fresh and modern with it. I hope we will be back!

    We especially enjoyed the location of the house with it's nearness to the beach. We spent a part of every day on North bay beach without having to drive and find parking. We also enjoyed opening the double patio doors and sitting in the garden which is a lovely sun trap. The kitchen was very well equipped with some super large cooking pans which are very important to us as we do always do all our own cooking even on holiday. One criticism is the overwhelming smell of dog in the sitting room and front porch. Maybe removing the carpet and replacing with a wood floor would cure the problem? Also the mattresses on the top floor either need renewing or adding mattress toppers as the springs were really uncomfortable.
