About this property

April Cottage is a detached house in Flixton, a 10 minute drive from Filey and a 20-minute drive from Scarborough. A perfect place for families to come and spend some time together. There is an enclosed garden with a hot tub for you to relax in the evenings, and a wood-burning stove in the living room to keep you warm during the day. Enter into the open-plan living space, an ideal space for entertaining, containing a sitting room furnished with a corner sofa, a coffee table and a Smart TV for some downtime. Settle down at the dining table to enjoy mealtimes together, which can be prepared in the contemporary kitchen area, with an electric oven and hob to assist you. From here, head outside onto the enclosed rear garden; on summer evenings savour cold beverages at the picnic bench and watch the sunset from the bubbling hot tub. When night draws in, retire inside and climb upstairs to choose between a zip/link super-king-size with a walk-in wardrobe, a king-size, and single bedroom, all tastefully furnished. Begin your day with a soothing soak in the bathroom or rinse off in the overhead shower as your towel keeps warm and dry on the heated rail. Just paces away is the friendly pub, Foxhound Inn, where you can dine out and enjoy local ales or venture into the village of Cayton for a greater selection of pubs and shops. Visit the coastal town of Scarborough, home to Scarborough Castle, SEA LIFE Scarborough, and the Scarborough Spa's Cliff Lift, among other popular attractions. Whether you're interested in exploring the town's rich history or simply want to relax and enjoy the stunning views, Scarborough is the perfect place to visit. Filey is a beautiful seaside town, which hosts Filey Bird Garden and Animal Park, as well as several excellent restaurants and bars, including the San Marco Restaurant. For a memorable getaway with your loved ones, choose April Cottage.

Cayton, a small village and civil parish in North Yorkshire's Scarborough district, is ideal for a beach getaway, with a decent range of amenities and attractions both inside the village and in the surrounding area. There are many of hidden jewels to find in the community, which boasts historic traces of its existence during wwii, with coastal erosion pillboxes visible around the area. The village has a fair number of pubs and shops, ideal for a self-catering stay, but Scarborough, a lively resort town with plenty of things to interest all ages, has a larger selection of waterside cafes. Explore the area's rich history at Scarborough Castle and the Rotunda Museum of Geology, or enjoy a conventional day by the sea with a multitude of amusement arcades, ice cream parlours, seafood vendors, and beach huts scattered throughout the town's sandy beaches.

It was spacious, clean and homely. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was great - worked perfectly and was very close to the door into the house. We parked both cars in the nearby pub car park - I wouldn't recommend leaving one on the main road particularly if it is foggy like it was during our stay. The location is brilliant - easy to get to Scarborough and Filey.

This is a lovely, cozy cottage and has everything you could need and feels like home from home. The hot tub is an added bonus to give us time to relax after a busy day at the seaside with the children. I would highly recommend this cottage and will be booking again to return in the future.

And maybe a manual with things like the wifi code and hot tub instructions, check out instructions etc. Other than that, we loved it!! Really clean and spacious and loved the hot tub!
