A very spacious, single-storey, detached farmhouse with hot tub, situated on a working farm just 2 miles from the coast. A short drive from popular Scarborough.. (Ramp Access).

Carr House farmhouse is set on a working farm, but only minutes away from the attractions of Scarborough and only 1½ miles from the well known surfing beach at Cayton Bay, which also welcomes dog walkers throughout the year. Visitors of all ages will enjoy the large landscaped gardens with a summerhouse, apple trees and barbecue, with a perimeter fence making it ideal for both children and pets. This detached farmhouse is ideal for touring the North Yorkshire coast, from Whitby in the north to Bridlington in the south. A short journey inland takes you to the North York Moors, ’Heartbeat’ Country and Pickering for the steam railway, whilst York for its historic attractions is less than an hour away.
For activities nearby there is Dalby Forest for cycling and tree climbing, Wykeham Lakes for fishing, or the many beaches which offer the chance to just relax, sail, surf, sunbathe, paddle, and build sandcastles. Scarborough is a vibrant seaside resort with lots of family attractions, such as the waterpark, Sealife Centre and crazy golf, as well as a funfair, ice-cream parlours, amusements, and donkey rides. It also boasts superb live entertainment at the Open Air Theatre, with major acts booked each summer, and shows at the Scarborough Spa and the renowned Stephen Joseph Theatre. Beach 2 miles. Shop ¾ and pub 1 mile.
There is a wheelchair ramp for the entrance door and shower stool and portable toilet assist seat for wheelchair users. These are kept in the hall cupboard and are readily available to guests should any such equipment be required.
You are welcome to exercise dogs in the large enclosed garden and along the farm tracks and public footpaths which cross the farmland.
Please note that there is a small glamping site on farm in a paddock behind a large wall and it is not visible from the accommodation.
A security deposit of £250 is payable in advance and will be returned a few days after departure.

Stayed at Carr House for Christmas. House was absolutely immaculate and well equipped. Deceptively spacious with a hot tub to enjoy the stunning gardens. Perfectly located to visit, York, Whitby and Filey to mention a few. Had a great time, and look forward to returning. Thank you!

I was disappointed that even though the property said dog friendly dogs were not permitted in over 3/4 of the property. We had to use the back door which was not good we could not use the larger 1 of the 2 living room and the signs suggested that we could not use the hallway or the front door. The hot water pressure was awful and the cooker hood is a safety issue my husband banged his head on it 3 times because it was so lowIt is a lovely property and would be perfect for a dog free holiday
