Kaitkyella Lodge is highly praised for its stunning views, tranquil setting, and friendly staff. Guests enjoy the on-site tea room and butchers, and the hot tub is a popular feature. While some guests mention noise from nearby events and suggest improvements to cleanliness and kitchen equipment, the overall experience is one of relaxation and comfort, with many looking forward to returning.
Most guests found the lodge to be clean and well-kept, though a few noted floors that felt dirty upon arrival and sofas that could use a deeper clean. The majority of comments, however, reflect a satisfactory level of cleanliness.
The lodge's location is frequently commended for its beautiful views and proximity to Scarborough and other attractions. Some guests noted noise from nearby events, but many appreciated the tranquil surroundings and convenient access to local amenities.
Guests generally found the lodge comfortable, with praise for the beds and sofas. Some suggested additional amenities such as hooks for towels and more powerful showers, but overall, the lodge is regarded as a comfortable retreat.
The facilities, including the hot tub and on-site butchers, are well-received. However, guests suggested improvements such as more kitchen equipment, a freezer, and better privacy measures like window blinds. Maintenance of the hot tub and cleanliness of the outdoor area were also mentioned.
There is no mention of gifts or special thoughtful touches provided by the hosts in the reviews, so it is not possible to score this category. However, the staff are noted to be friendly and accommodating.

But lovely place

Lovely hot tub and great area to explore. We did leave a couple of things at the cottage and asked the owner to post back to us and paid for the postage. The owner read the messages but completely ignored us and didnât reply and never posted our belongings either.

Peace and quiet mixed with the ability to get around easily. Views are fabulous from the back and the hot tub with the farm animals putting in an appearance from time to time. Could do with a wheely bin with a lid out the front to prevent any spills from wind. Well done to all for a great stay again, see you all again next year. Thankyou.
