Guests say

The Linden Suite offers a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere with helpful staff and a fantastic location for exploring Scarborough and the surrounding area. Guests appreciate the cosy accommodation, excellent on-site facilities such as the pool and bar, and the dog-friendly environment. While many enjoyed their stay, some noted issues with cleanliness, mattress comfort, and occasional maintenance concerns. The sense of community and well-kept grounds are frequently praised, making it a popular choice for families and dog owners seeking a relaxing break.

Cleanliness feedback is mixed. Several guests found the property clean and well-presented, but a notable number reported issues such as sticky floors, stained furniture, mould in the bathroom, and the need for a deep clean on arrival. These concerns were balanced by positive comments about general tidiness and well-maintained grounds.

The location is highly praised for its convenience to local attractions, easy access to Scarborough, and beautiful surroundings. Guests found it ideal for families, dog walking, and exploring the area, with only minor comments about the need for a car due to limited nearby shops.

Guests enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and warmth of the accommodation, but comfort was let down by uncomfortable mattresses and some cramped spaces. While many found the beds and living areas adequate, repeated mentions of mattress quality and lack of outdoor space for some units affected overall comfort.

Facilities such as the swimming pool, bar, and dog walking meadow are frequently highlighted as excellent. The site is secure and well-maintained, with friendly staff and good value food. Some guests experienced issues with maintenance (e.g., TV, shower screen, hot tub cleanliness), and occasional closures of the bar or restaurant were noted.

Some guests mentioned a 'welcome pack', but this appeared to be inconsistent and not guaranteed, with some only finding leftover items from previous guests. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere, but specific thoughtful touches or gifts are not consistently referenced.

Absolutly lovely staff. Really feel that family run vibe. Lovely bungallow. Had everything we needed. Ive rated it down a star as it stated wheel chair access. Because of the turning point straight away was unable to easily get through. Behing was double doors which was easier however there was a slight bump up. There was hard standing for parking but it was a bump/curve to get up onto it. The pool was lovely and perfect being able to book the private sessions. Loved there was also free darts to play in the bar. We would definetly come back again.

Stayed in the Lynden suite.Great location. On first impression looked great however definitely not 5 star. Was clean and had enough crockery etc.The mattresses were so uncomfortable, you could feel the springs. Had to go to reception in the morning to get extra duvets to put on top of them. That did help but not fantastic. It said a welcome pack included which to me (from previous properties) includes basic food items so you can manage until going to shop. All there was were leftover bits from previous customers. The property could do with lamps as had to have main lights on. Also no dressing table or drawers on which to put make up etc in bedroom. The out door seating area was either looking at a wall or on the driveway. Not gated off and private. Also the curb to access parking space wasn’t dropped so you had to mount curb, not ideal. The pool was great. Steam room closed and the hot tub smelt and looked dirty. The bar was closed on Monday and Tuesday and the restaurant closed Monday- Wednesday. So we found somewhere else to eat.On a positive note The staff were fabulous and friendly.
