An outstanding third floor apartment set in an attractive converted hotel, right on the seafront with arguably the best views in Whitby. Access to the beach is directly outside the apartment and all of the town’s amenities are just a few minutes’ walk away, making this lovely apartment ideal for families and friends to explore this popular, atmospheric town. With easy access by lift or via the original staircases, the property has a spacious and light, open plan living area, which includes a modern kitchen with a breakfast bar and wrought iron dining table. There are three steps up to the contemporary sitting room, which with it's high ceilings and expansive windows, gives a real feeling of the former grandeur of this Victorian building.
There are stunning, sweeping views over the sea, stretching right along the coast as far as the eye can see. The apartment was fully renovated by the owners in late 2014 and the end result is a very modern, comfortable and desirable place to enjoy a holiday. A small balcony leads off from the kitchen, perfect to enjoy the fresh sea air over a morning coffee! With four individually styled bedrooms and a luxurious Jacuzzi bath, in addition to a large walk-in shower, this superb apartment suits all guests. There are pubs, restaurants and tea rooms close by, along with the cobbled market square and quaint alleyways and streets to explore.
Why not enjoy a leisurely hour-long walk along the promenade to the pretty little village of Sandsend, with its seaside cafes and art gallery? Climb the ancient 199 steps up to Whitby Abbey and St. Mary's Church, perched high on the cliff top overlooking the town. There are attractive ornamental gardens in Pannett Park, or you may wish to visit the Captain Cook museum. The surrounding area has many attractions including a nostalgic trip on the famous North York Moors Steam Railway which winds its way through heather-clad moors from Grosmont to Pickering, or maybe enjoy a fun-filled day at Flamingo Land theme park.

Situated at the mouth of the River Esk, Whitby is an ancient fishing port steeped in history. The ruin of St Hilda's Abbey is high on Whitby's East Cliff and looks down on narrow streets and alleyways. From the old town, the parish church of St Mary, also on East Cliff, has 199 steps leading to it and the churchyard was one of the inspirations for Bram Stoker's Dracula. Other attractions in Whitby include the Captain Cook Memorial Museum, Victorian Jet Works and The Dracula Experience. There are year-round events at Whitby Pavilion Complex and there is a blue flag beach and spectacular cliffs and bays to explore. Whitby is in a beautiful region and offers visitors a great deal of variety for a memorable holiday any time of year.

There were just the four of us so we had plenty of room which made our stay particularly luxurious. The views are absolutely outstanding and are my main reason for booking - needless to say I was not disappointed! On the self catering side of things, there was plenty of kitchen equipment and two fridges which was a real bonus for storing cold drinks. I will say that some of the mattresses, bedding and bed linen could do with a refresh. And my only other criticism would be that the owners didnât share more of the specific venue information, which included where to access the property and find the keys until one hour before the arrival time. This caused a bit of confusion when we arrived. I do understand why the specific code would not want to be shared but I would have appreciated the other information before setting off on our journey. I would highly recommend this property if you are planning a trip to Whitby. Itâs in a perfect location with free parking provided for up to two vehicles. The views will take your breath away; sunrise and sunsets in particular =)

the view and comfy beds are good . but that's where it stops cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired rusty radiator and rusty shower caddy (didn't use it) bathroom sink continually lets the water out sofa is lumpy and has patches on it the window walls have damp patches and the main bedroom the plaster was falling off crockery is chipped .think it needs a bit of work done to be 4*

It was our first holiday in whitby and I am very please I chose to stay here the apartment was clean, tidy, spacious the beds comfy, the views where amazing waking up to the sea view every morning thank you will definitely book again
