We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely bungalow at the top of a very pretty village. The bed was comfortable, and the cottage was generally well equipped for our needs.A few small touches could make it even better — some softer lighting in the living area would be lovely, as the ceiling lights are quite bright in the evenings. The shower room is spacious, though the floor could have used a little extra attention.The owners were very helpful and responsive — when I asked about a clothes airer, one arrived the next day, which was much appreciated. A laundry basket would have been handy too, just to keep things off the kitchen floor.The garden space has great potential and would benefit from a quick tidy-up to make it feel more welcoming. I imagine it’s hard to keep on top of it later in the year, but it did look a bit neglected, and there were a few stray bits and pieces left by the back door.All in all, a comfortable cottage in a beautiful spot — with a little extra care, it could be really delightful.

Great holiday, weather was very kind to us. Excellent location for exploring Staithes and the surrounding area, walking on the Cleveland Way was wonderful.Bungalow was well equipped and the welcome pack was very much appreciated. Hopefully we will return in the future.
