Knockanboy House is a well-maintained, comfortable country house with high-quality furnishings and a beautiful garden. Guests appreciate the spacious, clean rooms and the peaceful, secluded location. The kitchen and pantry are highlights, though some guests noted issues with the cooking facilities. The property's charm and the surrounding area's beauty make it a strong candidate for a return visit.
The property is generally praised for its cleanliness, with guests finding it well maintained. However, one review mentioned the kitchen needed a bit more cleaning, slightly affecting the score.
The location is described as beautiful and peaceful, close to nature and day trip destinations. The seclusion and privacy are highly valued, contributing to a high score.
Guests find the house very comfortable, with spacious rooms and comfortable beds. However, the lack of wardrobes and hanging facilities in some rooms slightly impacts the comfort level.
While the property boasts outstanding facilities, several reviews cite issues with the Aga oven and other cooking appliances, which suggests room for improvement in maintenance.
The reviews mention a welcome basket, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and not all reviews reference this, it is not possible to accurately score this category.

The house and grounds are spectacular. Attention to detail was impeccable. The beds and linen like everything else was of the highest quality. The property was very very spacious and accommodated our family very well. The heating system was very good - loved walking on the floor tiles!! Sadly we needed to heat the house more than we hoped as the only thing to complain about was the weather!!!!. Many thanks for the âWelcome Packâ - a lovely touch. Would give this house 20 out of 10 Many thanks to the Owner and staff who keep the place in order If we ever visit that part of Ireland again - Knockanboy House will be our choice of accommodation

The WiFi and sky box were not set up and were not available to be used. I contacted Sykes several times about it during our stay and was given a standard response and no attempt was made to even try to connect WiFi or Sky for us. Disappointing to have the issue in the first place and then a disappointing (non)response.

The welcome basket with wine was a lovely surprise. Loved the privacy; no other houses in sight and the main road was also a distance away, so we had perfect peace and quiet! County Antrim was so beautiful and unspoilt and the people were all so friendly we would love to return again.
