Be welcomed into the spacious and contemporary kitchen, where you can whip up delicious meals for your loved ones to enjoy at the breakfast bar for six, there is also a TV and a woodburning stove for the chillier evenings!

After dinner, make your way through to the sitting room where you can relax on the generous corner sofa with your favourite tipple in hand, as the woodburning stove crackles nearby and your favourite show plays out on the TV. Climb the stairs to the first floor, where you can freshen up after a day of exploring with a hot shower, before choosing from three beautifully appointed bedrooms to catch your rest in, two king-size and a bunk room, all with plenty of storage for your belongings. Take the short drive into Castlerock, where you can spend a day on the golden sands of Castlerock Beach, testing out your clubs at the excellent Castlerock Golf Club, refuelling at The Surf Shack café, or treating your loved ones to a well-deserved meal at the welcoming eateries of Bertha’s Bar and The Village Kitchen.

Be sure to check out the fascinating National Trust site of Muddenden Temple and Downhill Demesne, which is just paces away from Burrenmore Retreat and featured in the hit series, Game of Thrones, here you will find an impressive 18th-century estate with woods, ruins and an 18th-century thatched farmhouse. From here, you can continue the seaside fun at Downhill Beach. The bustling town of Coleraine is nearby, here you can embark on a day of thrills at The Edge Watersports Centre, where you can take to the waters of the estuary by kayak, canoe or paddleboard. For a memorable day trip, head over to the famous National Trust and UNESCO listed site of Giant’s Casueway, where you can marvel at the natural phenomenon, there is also the Giants Causeway & Bushmills Railway and an on-site centre offering audio tours and a gift shop.

County Londonderry in Northern Ireland is one of the most beautiful places in the entire country. Aside from the Mussenden Temple, which appears in Game of Thrones, Castlerock can lay claim to many other renowns, such as being the inspiration for C.S. Lewis' bestselling The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Aside from being home to some of Northern Ireland's most famous tourist attractions, Castlerock also boasts a wide range of services and amenities to offer visitors. Everything from the Hill Farm Riding Centre and Finvoy Fun Farm to Castlerock Golf Course is available to suit all tastes. The unesco World Heritage Site and the Royal Portrush Golf Club are both nearby. Just a short drive away to the west lies Giant's Causeway.

In the automobile, Belfast is less than an hour distant. A butcher's store, chemist's, and beauty salon are all in the village, in addition to two coffee shops, a home bakery, and a small supermarket. Coleraine, a popular tourist destination, is only a short drive away, and it's well worth the trip. For a more exhilarating getaway, choose Portstewart or Portrush. One of the most dynamic cities in Ireland, Londonderry, is about 30 miles away.
