Set outside the centre of Limavady, close to the mouth of the River Roe, is this wonderfully large and welcoming property, Sycamore Cottage. Surrounded by the trees which give the cottage its name, and backed by rolling meadows with views of the Binevenagh mountain in the distance, Sycamore Cottage offers a charming Northern Irish escape for a family or group of nine. The country-style kitchen/diner is home to a warming woodburning stove set in the red brick fireplace, with a long dining table holding a seat for everyone, you can cook on the large range cooker and hob and make use of the wide range of appliances in here and in the utility room.

On the other side of the brick fireplace is an open fire facing the homely snug room with two sofas and an armchair to relax on. The main sitting room is where you can wind down by watching some TV, or pick up a book from one of the shelves or grab your holiday read and head to the sun room to enjoy a quiet moment, with sofas and soft seating to rest on while you soak up the light. If you have to take some of the office with you when you're away then you can make use of the excellent study room, complete with a desk and chair, it offers a pleasant spot to work in.

Upstairs on the first floor are the charming bedrooms, all enjoying a spacious layout and beautiful solid wood floors; choose from the king-size bedroom which has an en-suite bathroom, a family room with a king-size and a single, another king-size room and finally a twin room, with either views to the meadows behind the house, or the front lawns. Serving the upstairs rooms is the family bathroom hosting both a bath and separate walk-in shower, while the ground floor has a cloakroom with a basin and WC. A large garden wraps all around the property, with extensive lawns and an amply sized patio space, perfect for sunny days spent among your loved ones.

The house itself enjoys a lovely position being close to the mouth of the River Roe, and isn't far from the town centre of Limavady where you can access any amenities, like shops, pubs and restaurants. The cottage is only a couple of miles from Binevenagh mountain which is a designated area of outstanding natural beauty. Excellent activities are practically on your doorstep at Sycamore Cottage, Foylehov Activity Centre has a range of fun-filled things to do on offer, including hovercrafts, laser combat, target archery and powerturn buggies. While Carrowmena Activity Centre can offer canoeing, kayaking, zip-lining, raft building, a climbing wall and loads more, so you're sure to find something for everyone in the group.

The Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre is an award-winning facility in Limavady offering theatre shows, art exhibitions, and workshops so it's worth checking what's on when you're in town. For a great day out take a trip to Benone Beach. With seven miles of golden sand and a magnificent back drop of mountain and cliff scenery and stunning views across to Donegal, makes it an attractive sightseeing environment along with the usual seaside activities including picnic spots, watersports, and fishing. Visit Ness Country Park for over 7km of stunning woodland scenery and riverside trails, with picnic areas to stop at too, this 55-hectare parkland will make a lovely day out.

The city of Londonderry boasts a wealth of attractions; find St Columb's Cathedral, learn of the history of the area at the Museum of Free Derry, walk along the Peace Bridge, and tour the city via the 17th century city walls. Resting in County Londonderry in Northern Ireland is the bustling market town of Limavady.
