Visit the Battle of Alford battleground, or head to nearby Haughton and Murray country park, with Craigievar Castle being well-worth a visit too.

There is no WiFi at this property and mobile phone reception can be poor.
Access is via the front door which has a step, and there are three internal steps down into the living/dining area, the area by the front door is cobbled.
If the Accommodation becomes inaccessible due to bad weather the National Trust for Scotland will take all reasonable steps to inform you and to offer an alternative National Trust for Scotland property.

Well appointed and plenty mod cons. The only thing that could be improved was that the windows don't open and so it is needing better aired. We weren't uncomfortable because of this, but the building will suffer.

Lovely setting. So peaceful. Fantastic walks round the grounds, especially early morning, late evening. Lots to see and do in the area. Just perfect.
