Guests consistently praise the cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and prime location near the beach. The well-equipped kitchen and secure garden are frequently mentioned, alongside the thoughtful welcome packs provided by the hosts. While most experiences are positive, a few guests noted the need for clearer recycling instructions and the challenge of steep stairs for some individuals.
Reviews frequently commend the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as spotless and tidy. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the guests' overall positive experiences.
The location is highly praised for its proximity to clean beaches, coastal walks, and local amenities. Its suitability for both families and pets is noted, enhancing its appeal.
Comfort is a strong point, with guests finding the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable. However, some guests mentioned the stairs being steep and challenging for the elderly or very young, slightly impacting the score.
The cottage is well-equipped, especially the kitchen, and guests appreciate the secure garden. Points were deducted for the lack of recycling information and some maintenance issues like the need for handrails and damp patches.
The hosts are commended for their thoughtfulness, particularly regarding the welcome packs. While these are highly appreciated, it is politely noted that such gifts, though likely, are not guaranteed for every stay.
Banff 1 miles. This absolutely charming mid terrace stone cottage offers deceptively spacious and pretty accommodation. Ideal for a couple, family group or group of friends this cottage is just minutes from a lovely sandy beach and the clear crystal waters of the Moray Firth. A very pretty pathway and front garden lead up to the house and there is a bedroom at ground floor level as well as one on the first floor. The sitting room has a big comfy corner sofa and welcoming woodburing stove, ideal for those colder evenings in. The very well-equipped kitchen/dining room has everything required for visitors to make a lovely meal to be enjoyed together around the table. At the rear is a fully enclosed garden and a gate leading to the rear parking area. Inverboyndie is a small village that is situated neatly between the larger village of Whitehills and the small vibrant town of Banff, both within easy reach and both providing excellent local services. The village of Whitehills can be access via a coastal path and after a pleasant walk visitors should pop into the local pub and restaurant for a nice meal before the walk home. You could also take your car of course! Banff is a bustling town with an excellent selection of shops and restaurants along with the Marine Aquarium which is well worth a visit! The north east coastline is a great area to explore with the many fishing villages dotted up its dramatic coastline each with their own history and atmosphere. From this cottage there is an excellent bus route and if guests want to leave the car they can simply hop on the bus and enjoy the scenery! This pretty cottage ticks all the boxes and ensure a relaxing and comfortable holiday for all!
Banff has been designated an Outstanding Conservation Area and is famous for its architecture. The owners left a fantastic welcome pack for me and the dogs which was very much appreciated. Very well equipped kitchen. Enclosed garden, very dog friendly and 5 minutes walk to Inverboyndie award winning beach. Lots of coastal walks and restaurants and pubs nearby and close to the lovely Cullen beach.

Very close to a beautiful beach for walks and even swimming. We had a lovely stay and really enjoyed our week. The owners left us a starter packet (fresh bread, biscuits, sweets for the kid etc. ) what we found was absolutely outstanding. The beds were too soft for us, but it's hard to accommodate everyone's feelings. The bathroom and toilet are on the first floor, which can only be reached via a steep staircase. My mother, who was traveling with us, had a pretty hard time with it. It is therefore not suitable for people with limited mobility. In all, we can absolutely recommend this Holliday cottage and would definitely be happy to come back.
