Ruach sits high up in the village of Gardenstown, with an excellent view over Gamrie Bay, and a view down to the harbour from the bottom of the garden. The living room gets a lot of light from the floor to ceiling windows. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom, while there are two camceiled bedrooms upstairs. There are good walks in the surrounding area, and I also visited Fyvie Castle, Duff House, RSPB Loch of Strathbeg and the beach near Rattray Head lighthouse. On evening, I had a delicious dinner at the Pennan Inn.I had to contact the owner by email, because I couldn’t operate the oven, and got a prompt response. Hint, you turn the timer switch, anticlockwise to “M”.

Just came back from spending a week at Rauch, would highly recommend this cottage from the views alone. The locals are very friendly and informative. Cottage was very clean and well equipped with everything you would need and more. The owners are very responsive if you have an issues or queries. If we ever visit the area again we would definitely stay at Rauch again :) Thank you for making our holiday extra special
