After parking up on the roadside, unload your personal belongings into your new home from home. Prepare an afternoon snack in the kitchen, utilising the range of appliances on offer, before loading up the dishwasher and perching yourself on the sofa, flicking through the TV. Gardenstown, a fishing settlement founded in 1720 by Alexander Garden, is frequently lumped in with neighbouring Gamrie and Crovie as a single community. Gardenstown is located on the edge of a tiny sandy harbour with beautiful landscape on both sides. In addition to a pub that serves meals all year, the village boasts a restaurant, galleries, and various tea houses that are open during the summer. A steep path leads to the bay, where numerous small boats are moored, through the historic, tiny, and twisting lanes. Banff, a nearby town with a calm sandy coastline and a diverse range of fascinating architecture in contrasting styles, is exemplified by Duff House, a magnificent Georgian palace open to visitors and home to paintings and antiques from Scotland's National Galleries. Banff and the surrounding area also feature a decent number of shops, restaurants, and hotels that provide a superb assortment of local seafood, and neighbouring Pennan, a lovely old smugglers settlement, was the setting for the film "Local Hero." With easy access to coastal walks and the Whisky and Castle Trails, as well as multiple golf courses, fishing, sailing, dolphin watching, surfing, climbing, wonderful walking, and, of course, breathtaking sunsets and fabulous scenery, the entire area is an outstanding tourist destination. The equipment in the kitchen was top notch. (Maybe a bigger cafetière). The lounge was comfortable and the recliners brilliant! The beds comfortable and showers to die for! Best bit of all though was being able to look out to sea. Fantastic place, will be back! Iâm in love with Pennan and The Laurels

Recently renovated, by the looks of it, and to a very high standard. Very well equipped and a few little surprises as well. The beds and the shower were amazing. We enjoyed a week at the laurels and were so relaxed. Waking up in the morning to the sight and sound of the sea was so mesmerising.

Spotless inside and everything you would need for a lovely stay from tea, and coffee ,biscuits awaiting our stay to even clothes pegs for your washing, they thought of everything. Everything inside is brand new. The Pub is 5 doors away however we only went once as they ran out of lager and to be fair very clicky. Asda 4 miles away and far from civilisation , it does state places far away but I guess Iâm used to local shops etc and should have read the description of actually where it was. If you like quiet then this is the place for you. Peterhead prison is a must for a visit ( 40 mins away approx ) a real good day and a lovely day trip. Thank you so much x
