Unfortunately, the caravan itself was disappointing in a number of ways.The caravan was noticeably out of level, both lengthways and sideways, making it uncomfortable to walk around. It also affected the shower, as the sliding door repeatedly rolled open and did not seal properly, allowing water to escape.Both internal sliding doors had come off their runners and had to be refitted before they could be used properly.There were no towels available on arrival. A few days later we discovered damp towels still inside the washing machine, so we washed and dried them ourselves.The bedding appeared to have been laundered, but the fitted sheet did not fit the mattress correctly. The mattresses provided very little support and one of the pillowcases did not match the rest of the bedding.The bedroom television was missing, leaving only the wall bracket. The television in the lounge was very small, making subtitles difficult to read.The central heating was not operating because the boiler had only been set to provide hot water. Once this setting was changed, the heating worked normally.The kitchen inventory was extremely limited for a four-person caravan. There were only two knives, four forks, four spoons and four teaspoons, with several basic kitchen items missing, including a tin opener, toaster and serving bowls. Describing the kitchen as “well equipped” did not match our experience.Although the caravan was reasonably clean, the overall standard of maintenance fell below our expectations. Small details, such as a broken kitchen bin and the absence of a bin liner, added to the impression that routine checks were lacking.None of these issues on their own would necessarily have spoiled our holiday. However, taken together they created the impression that the accommodation had not received the level of care and attention we would normally expect. We still enjoyed our holiday because we always travel well prepared and bring many essentials ourselves, but the overall quality did not reflect the price we paid. For that reason, we would not choose this accommodation again or recommend it to others.
