Formerly part of the original railway station in the pretty village of Edzell, this gorgeous little cottage has been carefully converted into a high quality and very comfortable holiday accommodation. Set in the grounds of the owner’s property, but also entirely private. There is a lovely enclosed courtyard with decking to the rear, with original wall and cobblestones, accessed from patio doors leading from the bright and welcoming open plan living space. The living room has a cosy wood burner and the kitchen area has all the appliances you need to cook up a storm! The space is enhanced by a vaulted ceiling with gallery on the first floor showcasing the delightful interior.

Just a short walk to Edzell’s quality shops, park and eateries, the cottage is well placed for exploring this wonderful area. Tarfside and Glenesk are good starting points for some excellent walks amongst stunning scenery and diverse wildlife. Travel the length of the Victorian Heritage Trail, passing through Fettercairn with its Gothic Arch and local Distillery (where tours can be taken) up through Cairn o’ Mount and into Royal Deeside, ending at Balmoral Castle; or spend relaxing days at the beaches at Montrose and St Cyrus just 14 miles away. There is ample fishing and golf in the area including the well respected Edzell Golf course, just along the road from the cottage, or why not visit some of the stately homes, notably Balmoral or Glamis Castle.     Most needed break in such a beautiful cottage...Andrew and Janice were so friendly and helpful....A grand welcome basket to...milk ...teas ...coffees...extra logs for the log burner...A very high standard ....cottage would recommend a stay ...Location nis great to ..our 5 visit to Edziell

    Stayed at a few holiday cottages and this has to have been the cleanest and we'll equipped cottage we have stayed at. Lovely welcome pack, met by the owners and given a good rundown of things to do in the area places to eat etc, very friendly village cottage was lovely and warm with the log burner ready to light if needed. The weather was good for October so plenty of outdoor things to do saw red squirrels on the local walk dolphins at Stonehaven so all in all a relaxing and enjoyable holiday
