Ormidale Old Barn is a stunning barn conversion, perfect for a family get together or a friends reunion. Sleeping 16 guests in 7 bedrooms, and with generous living space, there is amble room for everyone to enjoy a holiday on the 22 acre Argyll Estate. Characterful features such as original stone walls are complimented by contemporary fixtures and fittings (including underfloor heating, a hot tub and a sauna) ensuring the perfect blend of character and charm with a touch of luxury.

Sitting on the Cowal Peninsula in western Scotland, just an hour and a half from Glasgow, Ormidale Old Barn is surrounded by beautiful scenery. Keep your eye out for the resident red squirrels and deer as you stroll through the surrounding forests and countryside, or take a bike ride along the local lanes. There is plenty to explore on your doorstep but for those who would like to venture further afield you can visit the stunning lochs on the Peninsula, bring your walking boots and climb some challenging peaks in the Arrochar Alps or spend a lazy afternoon visiting one of the local distilleries.

The Old Barn can be rented alongside The Garden Cottage (which comfortably sleeps 4). Sitting just across the courtyard, The Garden Cottage is a stone's throw from Ormidale Old Barn and it's ground floor bedrooms makes it an ideal choice for guests either with limited mobility or those wanting to enjoy their own space whilst also holidaying with others. If you are looking for extra rooms other properties available to rent on the Argyll Estate include Ormidale House (sleep 35) and Ormidale Mill House (sleeps 22). The properties all share the use of the estate including an indoor heated swimming pool, tennis court, football pitch and games room.

Accommodation comprises:

Detached restored barn with accommodation over two floors.

Downstairs:

Light and airy kitchen / breakfast room with an original exposed stone wall and a large glass archway and door which leads out to a private cobbled courtyard terrace. The oak kitchen cabinets are complemented by the granite work surface, stone Belfast sink and travertine marble floor. No expense has been spared with the Neff, Gaggia and Bosch kitchen appliances which includes an American-style fridge freezer, single and double oven, microwave, halogen hob, large toaster and coffee machine. Up to eight guests can sit around the expandable French polished oak island unit.

Head through an exposed stone arch to the large sitting room with three comfortable sofas.

Separate TV room which can seat up to twelve guests on beanbags and benches. This room can also be converted into an eighth bedroom for an extra guest or two little ones to take the capacity up to 16.

Dining room with a French-oak dining table surrounded by bench seating on three sides. Whilst the table comfortably seats 12 to 14 adults it can accommodate up to 20 people at a squeeze!
