About this property
This is a charming, fully refurbished traditional cottage, ideally located on the rural edges of Garelochhead in Scotland's beautiful Argyllshire. Restyled inside to provide contemporary accommodation, this cottage is ideal to use as a base for exploring the many hills and lochs that surround the village. Set all on the ground floor, the cottage has four double bedrooms, (two en suite) plus a shower room, a kitchen with a dining area and a relaxing sitting room. Outside is a front garden and a patio with wonderful views over the mountains beyond, the perfect place to relax and drink in the tranquility as you plan your day's activities. The village of Garelochhead, on the shore of the Gare Loch, has pubs and shops, and the West Highland Line stops at the local station. Apart from the many Munros offering superb walking, Garelochhead is close to Helensburgh, a popular and busy seaside resort. Dramatic Loch Long and beautiful Loch Lomond are only a short drive away and Glasgow is within easy reach either by car or train. Heatherbank has been designed and built with golfers in mind. Two bunkers, a 30-yard pitching hole, pitching areas and putting hole. Also available is a drying room complete with charging facilities for trolley batteries. So, whether you want to warm up before your round of golf, practice your shots or just have some fun all aspects of the game are covered. Clubs and balls are provided. We can also provide lessons on site by a PGA tour professional (7 days' notice required) and can arrange full golf holiday with discounted rates at the Carrick golf course on Loch Lomond for golf, spa and leisure facilities. please contact the owner direct for further details.
Garelochhead is a small village at the head of Gare Loch, a large sea loch known for sailing and sea angling. The village has a selection of shops and pubs, and is close to great walking, munro-bagging and golf. Loch Lomond is within easy reach.

My grandson lost something under the settee and it was dirty under there. The oven was a guessing game. No idea what controls were on as all worn off. Slope on the way up to the cottage was very rough, you must have good suspension on the car! Otherwise you will have to leave the car at the bottom and walk up! Dougie was very helpful and appeared frequently for maintenance around the property,

The host was there when we arrived stayed 5 mins to show us round and tell us what we needed to know. Hot tub was ready when we arrived at 5pm. Little touches like salt and pepper sauces. Cleaning stuff where there to use. Lovely and quiet. Would definitely go back

Beautiful surroundings and the hot tub and golf available on site were fun and a real luxury. Our host, Dougie, was really kind and helpful. The nearby village is great, and the loch shore is a fun place for children to play. One of the best things about the situation is that almost everywhere you might want to visit is reachable by public transport, the buses, trains and ferries are frequent and really good fun and a good way to see the country side...there's even a bus stop at the bottom of the road Heatherbank is in!
