Great accommodation and location - very clear directions to reach a beautifully out of the way place. Everything we needed was available in the spacious and well equipped property. One minor frustration was despite having engaged with a chatbot (?) and received emphatic reassurance that one of the zipped together mattresses would be unzipped to separate into two beds, they were not!! However, a minor point given how satisfactory everything else was.

Staying at The Byre for two weeks was definitely not enough! We found it very easily and settled in well.Having already spoken with the very kind and helpful owner, I much appreciated the wooden ramp that he offered to fit which helped me to push my rollator up the decking steps to the front door. From my perspective, the walk-in shower was a great bonus and large enough to accommodate my rollator for safe seating.Be aware that there is one step up into the lounge, one to the 4th bedroom and one at the inner end of the hallway.Parking was generous (3 cars) and the bike shed easily took my scooter and a motorbike. The Byre was well equipped and the garden a delight! If you're a cook, bring an electric hand whisk and a favourite knife with you. I appreciate that supplying really sharp knives may be an issue for homeowners, so we're used to bringing our own.A cafetiere would be a useful addition though. We thoroughly recommend visiting the restaurant at Tayvallich Inn.. friendly people and outstanding fare.A visit to the Isle of Jura was amazing too!Thank you for a fabulous base for our family holiday!Mandy & Colin KnightRushden, Northamptonshire.

Everything was first class. The house , its location and the facilities were excellent. The cottage was a real home with everything you could wish for. The family (3 generations) had a wonderful time - fishing, cycling and walking. Remote, but not isolated, Tayvallich was a real community.
