The extensive grounds, including woodland and a river were great to explore and beautiful. The house is nicely quirky and we all enjoyed the restful location. Gordon, the estate manager was extremely helpful and personable and his dogs were lovely and friendly - we looked forward to seeing them whenever we knew they were on the estate. The location is well placed for Oban and also ideal for visiting the islands of Arran, Gigha and Islay, as well as the other routes from Oban.

The garden was second to none. The use of the hot tub was definitely a bonus, despite the midges. The accommodation was well stocked and had everything needed. The addition of a bath to a shower was wonderful. My only negative would be most properties we have stayed in had a welcome gift, ie some times a bottle of wine or home made cake, it is a nice touch. The other thing missing was a âhow toâ guide, which was a shame because the house had so many appliances.
