Guests say

Invernoe Cottage is praised for its stunning, tranquil location amidst wildlife, offering a peaceful escape with breathtaking scenery. Guests enjoy the secure garden, ideal for pets and children, and the proximity to walking trails and water sports. The homely comfort and well-equipped facilities contribute to a restful stay, despite some noting the need for updates and a more thorough clean.

Several guests mentioned the need for a more thorough cleaning, noting cobwebs and chipped paint. However, one review highlighted the cottage as 'extremely clean', indicating a generally satisfactory level of cleanliness with room for improvement.

The location is consistently lauded for its beauty, wildlife, and peacefulness. The remote setting offers stunning views and direct access to nature, although the challenging access road is noted. Overall, the location is highly appreciated for those seeking solitude and natural beauty.

Guests find the cottage homely and comfortable, with comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere. The presence of a secure garden adds to the comfort for those with pets or children. Some minor issues with cookware and a kettle were mentioned, but these did not significantly detract from the overall comfort.

The cottage is described as well-equipped, with good wifi and a smart TV. However, some guests suggest that the kitchenware could be updated, and there are mentions of a temperamental kettle. The facilities are generally good, but there is potential for enhancement.

There are no specific mentions of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to provide a score in this category.

What a location this is, thankfully I had read the reviews over a year ago in regards to the road in. It’s 2 miles at 7mph the whole way but navigated carefully in a bigger car it was fine. The cottages location is just incredible, deer every morning and night, it’s just a shame that you can’t get down to loch side in front of the cottage. Huge secure garden for the dog, the one and only downside was cleanliness. All skirting boards need a good clean, chipped paint work on all doors & frames and an awful lot of cobwebs in the corners. Not a massive issue but we felt considering the price you wouldn’t expect this. That being said, we would definitely return in the future. It was the just what we needed to escape a busy home life.

Our week at Invernoe cottage was the peace and solitude we needed from our busy lives. The wildlife was an endless source of wonder for our almost two years old granddaughter and the rest of our party. Having previously visited a number of years ago, we couldn’t help but notice some dinnerware and cookware looking past its best. However this did not spoil our stay.

Just us and the wildlife and plenty of it! Off the beaten track so be prepared that it needs to be slow and steady, especially for lower cars. Lots of walking, lazing, water sports in the loch, ideal for us. Half an hour to Oban for sightseeing and ferries for island hopping. Cottage lovely and well equipped, garden enclosed for dog and children to play and a fabulous location.
