Mossyard, home of the McConchie family for five generations, is a working farm situated in a magnificent coastal location four miles west of Gatehouse of Fleet. With a choice of sandy beaches, a short walk away, the properties at Mossyard have it all.
The lodge has a wonderfully spacious open plan kitchen/dining/living area with doors that open on to an enclosed deck overlooking Fleet Bay to the front, with evening sunsets and views to Ben John & the Galloway Hills from the rear of the lodge. Set on the headland, these lodges are ideal if you wish to be accommodated together as a group.

Accessibility
Clover Lodge is not graded formally for disabled use. We do however take great care in making sure that we offer comfortable accommodation for elderly guests, ambulant disabled and guests with frail mobility. You can drive right up to the door at Clover Lodge. There is a parking area outside the property. There are three steps to get up to the lodge and a low threshold entrance doorway. Once you are inside the lodge the accommodation is all on one level.

We had an absolutely fantastic week at Clover Lodge, from the beautifully fitted space through to the absolutely breathtaking views. The lodge was well appointed, exceptionally clean and comfortable and a joy to stay in. There was so much thought into the layout, the windows making the most of the views, the appliances and soft furnishings - we were really impressed. Specific highlights were the scales/coffee maker/variety of pots and pans etc for cooking - meant that we were able to cook and enjoy some lovely meals sat at the beautiful table overlooking the bay. Other highlights included the balcony which was gated on both sides meaning we were able to allow the children out to play on there safely without worrying as well as the variety of bits and bobs in the shed for taking down to the beach or playing. We didn't use them as it was warm, but we were also pleased to see logs in the cupboard for the woodburner. Mossyard is a stunning location with breathtaking views. Highlights of our adventures included: finding crabs and other sea life in the rock pools, walking over to the island, making dams, paddling in the sea, coffee and an almond croissant at the farm shop, looking at the new tractor, watching the weather come in over the hills behind the site, a visit to Wigtown for the books and Culzean castle for the history! Thank you so much for such a great stay - we will definitely be back, hopefully to Clover - a fantastic holiday enjoyed by 3 generations!
