This attractive detached family house is set in its own gardens just across from the beach - ideal for children, The house is on the edge of Kippford and enjoys sweeping views over the Urr estuary to the mountains beyond and backs on to National Trust land providing many beautiful walks including access to Rockliffe along the Jubilee Path.
Rocklea fronts onto the shell beach at Kippford and sleeps 8 making it a superb family holiday cottage. The attractive detached family house retains a traditional feel but with modern facilities and is set in its own gardens just across from the beach - ideal for children. The house enjoys sweeping views over the Urr estuary to the mountains beyond.
The bustling seaside village of Kippford is a mecca for water sports with yacht moorings on the river and a busy sailing club running frequent events and regattas. The village centre is just a short walk from the house and has two pubs. There is access to both Jubilee Path and also the Rough Firth road which both provide access to a network of scenic pathways over National Trust of Scotland land to Rockcliffe. Rocklea is around 2 miles from the 7Stanes mountain bike trail in Dalbeattie Forest and only a short drive to numerous sandy beaches, Galloway Forest Park, loch and river fishing, hill walking, golf courses abound be it recreational nine hole courses or testing Championship Link Courses such as the one at Southerness.

A very well equipped, spacious and comfortable house in a quiet location. It has close access to the path to Rockcliffe. It is within walking distance to two hotels serving food and drink. The house is situated next to a beach. However, this is a tidal estuary and consequently, the water can be quite far out on the mud flats.

Rocklea is a very comfortable holiday home in a very magical place. We thoroughly enjoyed our week. Kitchen cleanliness could do with more effort and there's no welcome pack in place.

Fantastic location, property has great period charm with seems like new bathroom facilities a very pleasant holiday was had by everyone especially the kids
