The cottage is described as spacious, comfortable, and ideal for groups or families. The presence of two toilets is appreciated. Some mention the property is a bit dated, but this does not detract from overall comfort.

We had a fantastic stay at Rocky Knowe, after staying here previously 5 years ago. The cottage is basic but just what we needed, and the owner popped by a couple of times and was very friendly. You do need to ensure to bring your basics with you (towels, toilet roll, handwash etc.), but for the price of the self-catering cottage we didn't mind. The view out the back garden is spectacular, and we enjoyed lots of walks in the surrounding area (Dalbeattie forest, Kippford, Rockville etc.).

First off let me say the house was lovely, maybe a bit dated but was clean and spacious. Two toilets for four 50+ blokes on a golfing break was ideal however, there was no towels, no tea, coffee or anything else..only 1 toilet roll as well so we had to buy towels etc which is fine but an expense we didn’t budget for but all in all I would recommend it but bring towels andToilet rolls. The chap that owned it did pop in just as we arrived which was nice

Very nice big house, could not fault the property. Super location and view from the patio. I can recommend the property. It is a premium holiday let. I rented it for friends visiting the area. I've left the owner a couple of voicemails to point out the following; A box of tea bags and a jar of coffee would be a nice addition. No towels - that wasn't clear. One loo roll in a house that sleeps up to 6 with 2 toilets was a bit lean. That was one loo roll between the two toilets. We looked for towels and loo rolls - possibly we just didn't find them.Chimney could do to be better sealed behind the fire place. A bat flew out and did many laps of the living room before we could get it out the patio doors.
