As you arrive at The Beachcomber there is a large and private enclosed decking area the perfect place for not only you to sit and relax but ideal for your four-legged friends. Inside there is a spacious and open plan living, dining and kitchen area with comfortable sofas and a fully equipped kitchen and all the amenities you will need for an enjoyable stay at The Beachcomber. The master bedroom with comfortable king size bed has an en-suite toilet, a second twin bedroom and a family shower room. With its peaceful location a stay at The Beachcomber you are certain to have an enjoyable stay.
Only a short stroll from The Beachcomber is the small and pretty seaside village of Kippford with two excellent seafront pubs and restaurants, and a tearoom. You can enjoy numerous walks and coastal paths in and around the village including the spectacular walk along the Jubilee Path to Rockcliffe, another seaside village just along the coast with its lovely sandy beach. Just across the road from Coastal Kippford there is a small 9-hole golf course whilst there are several championship courses within a short drive. For the biking enthusiast a must is a day spent at Dalbeattie Forest, a couple of miles along the road, and home to one of the famous 7Stanes mountain bike trails including Ironhash, Moyle Hill and the red graded Hardrock Trail.
Further afield this beautiful corner of Dumfries and Galloway will delight all ages from historical castles, National Trust Gardens, and miles of stunning and dramatic coastline. For the younger guests there are ice cream farms, park parks and a chocolate factory where you can make your own chocolate.

Upon arrival I had to stay outside whilst my wife set about cleaning the place. There was food waste under the table. The floors were filthy. The shower had mould in the corners. The dust was settled on all surfaces. Toaster was full of crumbs, we didn’t use it for fear of fire. Toothpaste on sink taps and floor. Dead slug in the middle of the bedroom on the carpet. Shameful.

Unfortunately this caravan needs a very deep clean. The outside patio and furniture was very dirty. I would have forgive the decking as Storm David arrived the day before, however you dont go to the property until 15.00 so there was plenty of time for a brush down and wash, including the table. It was a sunny week and we were unable to sit out. Inside the van -thick with dust, very dirty bathroom sink and blinds in the bathroom thick with splashes from toothpaste. I am surprised after reviews stating poor cleaning that nothing has been done about it. It really is a shame as the location is excellent and the park is very quiet with access to woodland trails. My expectation of cottages.com is that they will keep a check on customer feedback and ensure that other customers do not have a similar experience.
