We have just returned from a stunning & glorious week at 'Inverallan' . From the start of our stay we had a thoughtful welcome of treats of Homebaking & Chilled Prosecco with a personal note & contact from the owners. It made us feel right at home & at ease from the start. The Family have lovingly restored, renovated & extended Inverallan into a luxurious haven for weary travellers! Well equipped Kitchen, beautiful Dining, Comfortable Sofas, Relaxing Beds , quality towels & bedding, great Suntrap of a Patio & not to mention the FABulous Hot Tub! So much to mention & remember! It is clearly evident that Louise & Amanda have poured love into Inverallan & where they have put the comfort & enjoyment of their guests as priorty. A sterling job well done Ladies!. The surrounding area of Dumfries & Galloway is excellent for sight seeing & touring, Drumlanrigg Castle, Threave House & Gardens, Dumfries Aviation Museum, Caeverlock Castle, Logan Botanic Gardens & Portpatrick Village....to name a few!.....all stunning. Thank you again for the most amazing stay & helping us make lasting memories. Inverallan will always hold a ' special place' in our hearts. We cant wait to return! Best Wishes ,Phillip J. Fleming

Inverallan is a lovely property. The owners were friendly and on hand if you need anything during your stay. The welcome treats were well received after a long journey. It was like a home from home due to the available kitchen equipment, along with a good supply of handwash, etc to last through the stay. The property was very clean and well maintained. There is plenty of room to use across the open plan lounge, dining, kitchen due to the way the space is set out.Whether you are with family or friends you can be together or have a moment to yourself with a choice of comfy seating. There is easy access to the large private patio area via the double doors from the lounge. The bedrooms are all good sizes, with 3pin and USB charging ports available. On hot weather days the electric fans were very useful. The far reaching views are very relaxing to watch, with wildlife inc Kites flying through. It was nice having the friendly farm animals in the fields around the property. It's a good location to access places inc Dumfries, Threave garden,  Dumfries house estate, Craigieburn, Drumlanrig gardens, along with waterfalls and walks.

An amazing cottage with high standard fitting and fixtures. As soon as you step through the door you are met by the warmth of the underfloor heating. You take a step into the kitchen where you are met by a lovely welcome pack which has been put together with love. The cottage just seems to go on and on and what amazing views surround it.A total privilege to be able to hire it.As for the host family what can I say ….. they are a lovely warm family and nothing is too much trouble.
