Sand View is a detached bungalow which has been completely refurbished in 2021. It is comfortable and cosy, and has the most stunning views over the Solway Firth. Sand View is the perfect place to enjoy this much loved coastal resort in beautiful south west Scotland.

The coastal village of Southerness has undoubtedly some of the most outstanding views of the Solway Firth to the English Lake District. Explore the beach and the striking white landmark of the lighthouse, built in 1749, or challenge yourself on the championship golf course.

We normally book a caravan at Parkdean in Southerness and decided last year to book one of the holiday let's available there.We travelled down (3 Adults, 2 Children and the Dog) and on arrival there was a small hamper with essentials including dog treats which was a very nice wee surprise and we were touched by the gesture. Sand View is an absolutely stunning getaway with beautiful views overlooking the incredible sandy beach. The property boasts what was my favourite room which is the dining room extention that has unlimited views across the sea with a dining table and three seater sofa to chillax in. The kitchen had every single appliance you would need including a twin airfryer, compact dish washer, washing machine, microwave, coffee machine and every kitchen utensils you will need. The bedrooms were extremely comfortable and what a difference a real decent bed made to my crumbling back!Shower room has a beautiful large walk in shower that the kids spent a lot of time in after being down the beach. Sea View if you are interested in Parkdean, is literally a 5 min stroll to the entertainment and swimming pool and 10 mins to the shop. Definitely will be back again and woukd recommend this property to anyone whether visiting Parkdean or Dumfries. The owners were extremely friendly and communicated with us as though we had know each other for years. 5 stars all round!!

A lovely cottage with stunning views across the Solway Firth. It’s very well equipped & clean. The only thing that would have been helpful on a very hot week would have been to have a couple of fans available for use. Despite the cottage being next to a big caravan park there was no major issues with noise. There’s a chip shop, restaurants & a mini-mart within easy walking distance & there’s plenty to see & do in the surrounding area. The dog loved the beach & forest walks at Mabie, Dalbeattie & Glen Trool.
