Guests say

Guests consistently praise the spacious, well-maintained Arakhova cottage for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent location within walking distance to Kirkcudbright. The property boasts a well-equipped kitchen, peaceful garden, and ample space for families and groups. Some guests noted the downstairs bathroom could be improved, but overall experiences were very positive.

Reviews frequently highlight the property's cleanliness, describing it as 'spotlessly clean' and 'well maintained', indicating a high standard of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful yet conveniently close to the town centre, with easy access to local amenities and coastal paths, making it an ideal base for sightseeing and walking.

The property is repeatedly described as comfortable, with large rooms, a cosy log stove, and comfortable beds. The presence of two lounges and a spacious layout contributes to the overall comfort.

The house is well-equipped with essentials, a wood-burning stove, and entertainment options like books and DVDs. However, some guests mentioned the need for sharper knives and an upgrade to the downstairs bathroom, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While guests are satisfied with the overall experience, there are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches provided by the host, so it is not possible to assess this category.

I saw the house while looking through the list of many available places to stay. The booking process was easy and very simple. The house was very spacious, clean and had everything we needed. Kirkudbright is a beautiful friendly town in a fantastic area of Scotland

Really nice house, very well located on the edge of a very nice small town. We were a party of 7 with 2 dogs and all managed to have enough space. House had everything you need and would hope to have. Would recommend and would go back.
